Recently, Sports Illustrated revealed that the 23-year-old gymnast will appear in their 2025 Swimsuit Issue. Currently in Boca Raton, Chiles is set to pose for the May edition next year, with acclaimed photographer Ben Horton capturing images of the Olympic gold medalist.

In a statement celebrating the lineup, Sports Illustrated editor-in-chief MJ Day shared, “We are thrilled to kick off our shoot season for the 2025 issue with an extraordinary team of powerful female athletes. This incredible group of Olympic medalists, world champions, and record-holders represents a new wave of stars transforming the sports world.” Day also highlighted that athletes like Chiles have overcome numerous barriers and continue to inspire.

This feature in Sports Illustrated holds particular significance for Chiles and other college athletes, especially since they now benefit from new NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) rules. Previously, NCAA athletes had limited income opportunities, but thanks to recent changes, figures like Olivia Dunne and Jordan Chiles are gaining visibility and financial success. Dunne, in particular, was a pioneer, setting the stage for athletes like Chiles to follow.

Already a social media sensation, Olivia Dunne’s popularity soared after joining Sports Illustrated as a swimsuit model in 2023. Her captivating shoot in Puerto Rico made headlines, showcasing LSU gymnastics in a new light. Dunne’s success led to her return in front of Horton’s lens for a second feature, with a photoshoot in Portugal that embraced balletcore and cottagecore aesthetics, further elevating her profile.
