Time Has Defeated Tyson, But Boxing Has Come Out Triumphant

Time is relentless, and not even Mike Tyson has escaped its effects. The “killer” instinct that made him famous remains alive, but his legs and arms no longer respond to the commands of his mind as they once did.

Despite physical limitations common to his 58 years, he accepted the challenge of returning to the ring, proving a courage few possess.

Criticizing his stance is unnecessary. Tyson did not hide behind excuses, neither at the height of his career nor now. Some may claim that he “embarrassed boxing”, but the reality is the opposite. All week long, Tyson was the talk of social media, and boxing was in the spotlight globally. The event in Dallas was an unforgettable spectacle, the biggest in the sport this year.

Boxing, which could have been tarnished if there had been any irregularity, triumphed. Like Rocky Balboa in his last fight, the sport was the true winner. Time may be cruel to fighters, but not to the essence of boxing.

Did Mike Tyson lose? Yes. So what? For fans, his courage and legacy will continue to resonate. It was like stepping back in time, feeling the euphoria of the 1990s, when Tyson's victories and defeats were debated late into the night.
